When I delivered Rori, my husband stressed the importance of making sure I take time for myself. He suggested I add a few new self-care practices into my monthly routine. I thought about my options as I already get my nails and hair done regularly. Ultimately, I decided to start getting facials – and not just your regular everyday facial either. I deserved an upgrade from the usual. I’ve had a few fancy facials done before on vacations with spa experiences, so I had a good feeling about what I wanted to try out.
I looked into a few companies but decided to go with Skin by Goldiee. One of my team members went to her spa and highly recommended her. I booked my first appointment and was really excited! I followed the site's instructions and stopped using all exfoliants and topicals three days before my session. I guess they want your face in its natural element so they can really see what they’re working with.
The spa was clean and intimate and we discussed my skin type, challenges, and more. After going over all the details, I decided to go with the hydrojelly facial. If you’re wondering what’s included with the service, here’s a list of products used:
• Double cleanse
• High frequency
• Hydrojelly Mask
The esthetician (the fancy word for skincare specialist) let me know that the hydrojelly mask is supposed to provide a vacuum-sealed experience that focuses on my skin's hydration. Apparently, it also helps combat other skin conditions too like: breakouts, hyperpigmentation & dark spots, dark circles under the eyes, “sagging” skin, wrinkles, etc. So I got quite the bang for my buck! Don’t just take my word for it though – on their IG they feature a woman getting the hydrojelly facial. Check out the before and after pics!
Next on the list was creating a skincare regime. Goldiee made a few product recommendations and within a day I saw a major difference in my skin! My skin has felt dehydrated for the past few months (2020 really wore me out!) and it’s amazing to see how nourished my skin looks solely from the suggestions. A little product really does go a long way!
I know the pandemic might have put you off your skincare regimen, but I’m here to tell you that it’s time to tap back in. Look in the mirror – that face is the only one you’ll ever have, so you’ve got to start taking better care of it! Restart your routine, refresh your skin, and rejuvenate your soul.
The best part about getting a facial is that it allows me to unwind while also taking care of my skin. You might not be able to go to the beach right now, but I promise you’ll be able to find some sort of relaxation in the spa chair. Goldiee is all about the glow up ✨.
